Hummus is one of those awesome foods that is hopefully part of your weekly meal prep plan.
It is easy to prepare and is perfect as part of a meal or a snack. A bonus is that it lasts for days!!!
If you are not a cook or convenience is key, go ahead and buy some! You can choose from so many great flavors:)
Below is my favorite Hummus recipe that I used for my catering events. It’s great as a base or can be enjoyed just as it is! I often add other ingredients to create variety as everyone has a different favorite in my house.
2 Cups Canned Chick Peas, (Garbanzo Beans), Drained with Liquid Reserved
1 1/4 Tsps. Himalayan Salt, (Kosher Salt Works Too)
4 Garlic Cloves, Minced
1/3 Cup Tahini, (Sesame Paste)
6 Tbs. Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice, (or to Taste) About 2-3 Lemons
2 Tbs. Liquid from the Drained Chickpeas (Water Will Work Too)
8 Dashes Tabasco
Place all the ingredients in the bowl of a food processor fitted with a steel blade and process until the hummus is coarsely pureed or to your desired consistency.
Taste for seasoning and serve chilled or at room temperature.
You can serve with fresh cut veggies, roasted veggies or as a spread for a turkey sandwich.

Take out a portion and add either roasted red peppers, roasted carrots, roasted beets or for a bit of kick, toss in some red-hot chili peppers and puree to desired consistency. Find something that you LOVE and ADD!
