Chocolate Banana Ice Cream
Who new homemade ice cream could be simple, healthy and most of all, DELECIOUS?
I must admit, I definitely have a sweet tooth and this is one of my favorite “go to” desserts.
What I love about this recipe, is that it is something that can be part of a meal prep plan, done anytime and a large quantity will last!
The recipe is simple:
Ripe bananas – any quantity, although I suggest as least 2
Unsweetened Cocoa Powder – to taste
My last batch was 12 bananas and 1 TBS cocoa powder
- Peel bananas and cut into 1-inch pieces/chunks
- Place banana pieces in a zip lock or storage container and put into freezer
- After frozen, remove from freezer, let thaw for a few minutes and put into Cuisinart
- Add Cocoa Powder
- Puree until creamy and smooth, this may take a few minutes
Serve and enjoy!
This will last in the freezer for weeks.
Remember it’s still easy to over eat even the healthy foods. Think about how many bananas you would eat at one sitting before you fill your bowl to high:)
