Foodie Turns Personal Trainer And Health And Wellness Coach
I have spent most of my career life in boutique catering and was proud to say that I could feed an entire group of people where the men and women both ate and left the party feeling guilt free. Yes, there were plenty of indulgences, but to eat healthily was always an option. After many years of keeping fit, eating healthy and including sweets along the way, I finally took the plunge to embrace my other love; Personal Fitness and Health and Wellness.
I believe everyone should have the gift of freedom to do whatever he or she wants to do by introducing exercise and healthy choices into their life. At the age of 50, I followed my heart, went back to school, received my diploma from the National Personal Training Institute, passed my NASM licensing exam, became a TRX qualified instructor, and have received my Health and Wellness Coaching Certification through Precision Nutrition. Health and Wellness includes self-care as I strongly believe we all need to nourish our bodies, add movement to our daily routine, sleep well and find gratitude every day.
As much as I enjoy “working out”, it is the freedom of being fit and healthy that I value the most. It allows me to embrace the lifestyle activities that I love, such as bike riding, hiking, rollerblading and sailing. I still have my passion for cooking and can easily spend the day in the kitchen. I live in Bolton, MA with my partner Rick, my two college aged children, and 17-year-old stepdaughter, who all come and go… We also have our “old-lady” of the house, our 13-year-old chocolate lab, Denver. At 13, she still loves to swim, fetch her stick and get her daily dose of exercise!
As a health and wellness coach, I am associated with VESTA, an organization that helps men and women navigate life before, during and after divorce. My hope is that through VESTA you will come out the other side feeling whole and positive through the help of VESTA’s resources and me helping you understand the importance of self-care. Self-care includes good nutrition, movement, sleep, and gratitude. For more information http://joinvesta.com/
